ABOUT PAQS The Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors (PAQS)

The Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors (PAQS) stands as a premier international association, uniting national organisations representing Quantity Surveyors throughout the Asia and Western Pacific region. Our membership comprises quantity surveying and cost engineering institutions from Australia, Brunei, Canada, China, Fiji, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, South Korea, and South Africa.

PAQS is dedicated to advancing the profession within this vast region through a wide-ranging mission:

The promotion of the practice of Quantity Surveying (QS) in the region.

The promotion of “best practice” for QS in the region.

Fostering of research appropriate to the better understanding of building practice in the region.

Encouragement of regional cooperation in the practice of QS.

The promotion of dialogue between member organisations.

Rendering assistance to members of member organisations working in each other’s countries.

Through these efforts, PAQS plays a significant role in ensuring the continued development and excellence of quantity surveying in the Asia and Western Pacific region.

ABOUT PUJA The Institution of Surveyors, Engineers, and Architects (Brunei)

This year, Brunei is proud to once again host the PAQS Congress, organised by the Surveyor Division of Pertubuhan Ukur, Jurutera & Arkitek (Institution of Surveyors, Engineers, and Architects), Brunei (PUJA). Established in 1984, PUJA has been the leading organisation in surveying, engineering, and architecture in the nation, dedicated to advancing professional standards and fostering innovation within the industry.

Building on the success of the 16th PAQS Congress held in Brunei in 2012, this year’s gathering holds even greater significance as it continues to showcase Brunei’s ongoing commitment to propelling the fields of surveying, engineering, and architecture onto the global forefront. Brunei Darussalam, renowned for its rich cultural heritage, pristine landscapes, and warm hospitality, provides the perfect backdrop for this esteemed event.
